Why! Dear God why!!!! MyBB....this is the biggest piece of **** i've ever used. You have Phpbb and you changed to this? Jeeze, why? MyBB sucks so much compared to PHPBB. I just wanted to question your motives for changing because this is so crap.....

Well, that would be your opinion. Obviously, rct3x and Tikitiki thought that this was better than phpBB2, so they switched to it. It all has to do with what you personally like.

Of course it's opinion But I can't see any reason why anyone would use ANY forum system over PHPBB2. It's the most superior of all of them by a long way.....nice skin btw Belloman. But your name is unreadable

There are several reasons why someone would switch from phpBB2 to MyBB. In my opinion, phpBB2 is extremely feature lacking - the only reason it is so popular is because it is free, and provided by most hosts. MyBB is also free, but it has MANY more features than phpBB2.

I don't know their true motives for switching, but I believe one of the reasons is how feature-filled it is, compared to phpBB2.

I don't exactly know all of the differences, but to me, phpBB feels empty.

Some features aren't even listed in MyBB's feature list, such as the wonderful plugin system, which makes adding modifications extremely easy. MyBB is also extremely customisable WITHOUT having to edit file after file, with possibility of messing up your forum completely.

We found that phpBB2 was very feature lacking especially administration wise. With myBB we can now post global topics and create sub forums on top of other forums, create mods easily(in which I have already created a couple mods for this board in php), its much less complex and space taking than phpBB2 - and yet seems to do better of a job, - better security and most importantly myBB has a very bright future ahead of it!

Might I ask if there was anything missing from phpBB2 that lacks on these forums?

Well I think I liked phpbb better as the iframes weren't all straight at the corners

Mybb is awful get SMF DraytonMonkey does not have a SMF banner on his site! Anway it's your site and if it means that you are happy all the better

Ok, 2 people out of alot of people dont like MyBB. I feel it is better than phpBB2 and thats the reason we moved.

I dont mind you saying your opinions (sp) but please dont put in every post you have "MyBB is rubbish" : you will get a ban.

Well I have an SMF Forum and can you change the skin for different forums? Can you have child Boards? Can you give members cash?
